Dear USTHS ’68 Batchmates,

It’s been a while since we got in touch with you.  We hope and pray that all is well with you.

While we are now busy preparing for our 2010 batch reunion in NY, we are pleased to inform you na kami naman dito sa Pilipinas are also preparing for our 2011 batch reunion which will be held back to back with the 400 years anniversary celebration of our alma mater or what is called the quadricentennial celebration.

The different events leading to and after the main quadricentennial celebration are already posted on our website.  The main events will be on January 27 and 28, 2011.  See details below:

If we will choose only one day to participate, the Office of Alumni Affairs is recommending that we all be there on Friday, January 28.  We of course have the option of attending both events.

Given this (unless there are strong objections), the Organizing Committee will arrange our batch reunion on January 29-30, 2011 (Saturday-Sunday).    We are thinking that instead of having 3 separate activities for 3 days the way we did it in 2008, after the Jan. 28 Quad celebration (which will be Day 1),  we will go out of town and have our bonding and fun activities outside of Metro Manila, with an overnight stay as an option.

Before we finalize plans, may we get your feedback on the following:

1)      Do you agree to a 2-day out of town activity?   __Yes    __ No , I prefer one day only

2)      If yes, are you interested to stay overnight? __Yes    __No

(others may opt to go back to Manila and just return the following day)

May we also know what types of activities you would like to do – play golf, swim, go shopping, have a spa treatment, go dancing, etc. while you are here. Your inputs will go a long way towards choosing the venue and helping us firm up plans here.

We hope to finalize the arrangements with our venue by the end of August and thus hope that you will give us your feedback soonest.  You can respond through our website or email me at bggozun@gmail.com.

By the way, we hope to raise funds again to cover all the cost of our 2011 batch reunion.  What is most important is that many of our batchmates come and join us.  We look forward to reconnecting with all of you.

Warmest regards,

Bebet

Ps.  The UST High School Grand Alumni Homecoming for 2011 is set for February 5. It will also be held at the Plaza Mayor within the UST campus.  Will update you as soon as more details about this celebration are firmed up.
