"After college, I immediately decided to raise
my own family and got married (to my three-year sweetheart Grace Abad).
Just a few months after, I was employed by EDPITAF, a government agency under
the Department of Education, where I served as Deputy Project Manager for
Engineering Education Project where UST was one of its recipient institutions.
After EDPITAF, I joined the Asian Development Bank where I worked for 10 years.
Me and my family migrated to Hawaii in June 1994 where we
were blessed with a now six-year old boy named “Emmanuel”. We were already
blessed with a 28 year old girl (married) who gave us our first grandson who is
now three years old (lolo na si Manny) but he calls me “Papa” and another 23
year old girl (still single) who is still enjoying life. It is Emmanuel
who always keeps us company everywhere we are and everywhere we go. Now,
isn’t that what you call a 'Blessing'?"
"Nov. 2007 - After living in
paradise (Hawaii) for 13 yrs, we decided to move to Seattle, Washington for a
totally new environment. I have retired from Continental Airlines last August
2007 and have joined my younger daughter in the state of Washington to help her
look after my 2 grandsons. Life is totally different now that I have left a very
stressful job and a new found freedom. "

responsibility with my brother and sister taking care of our bedridden Mom
for 2 years before she passed away last October 2007 from colon cancer at
age 91. We opted to take care of her ourselves instead of putting her in a
Nursing Home.

Worked in various Engineering firms and FDA regulated (drug and device)
industry as a QA/QC professional. Met Fernando in 1982, married him in
1983 and widowed in 1997 (a lonely life w/o him) and had 2 children named
Grace (Gurmel Singh's goddaughter) and Jason. First time back home to
visit with the kids was in 1999 for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary,
to see my son and families. Reunited with my son PJ after 18 years.
Currently, unemployed and living in NorCal with Jason. Grace and PJ are

almost right after graduating from UST with a Bachelors Degree in
Architecture. I am married since 1976 to Neriza “Baby” Flores, a
registered nurse haling from San Pablo, Laguna. Two years later we were
blessed with a son, Terrence, a physical therapist and now also married. A
daughter Rowena followed in 1982, who like her mom, also became a nurse.
She too is now married. We are newly minted grandparents to Emily Grace,
18 months, and Logan James, 6 months. We hope and pray to see the family
grow through our golden years.
I am presently working for Sargent and Lundy Engineers LLC as a senior
electrical designer. We are a major engineering consulting firm, who has
global projects, involved in all aspects of fossil and nuclear power
utility design.
My wife and I love to travel around the Americas and make a point to go
back “home” every other year. I love to garden in the fall and spring time
while she loves to shop. I bowl in winter and play golf in summer while my

supervisory staff of the Dept of Elem. Educ. I joined the UST Dept of
English in 1987 and had just been promoted to assistant professor in 1994
when my family moved to Canada.
My first husband, Engr. Jose L Lagniton of Sta Clara, CA died of
pancreatic cancer in 1998. I got married again in 2004 to Manuel A. Aquino.
My last USTHS event in RP was in 1978, our HS Golden Anniversary, when I
was invited to run a month-long drama-training and staging of an original
theater-improv at the Educ Auditorium as the culminating student activity.
We celebrated the 75th USTHS Anniv. in Las Vegas, 2003 and the 80th in
Anaheim, 2008 (USTHS Alumni Assoc of America). I look forward to our
Reunion on May 2, 2009 in Las Vegas. God bless."

semi-retirement, I've started venturing into cooking, concocting Vietnamese soup
and other oriental dishes. Michael loves to fish and when he brings home a fresh
catch, it's in the pot or pan before the fish even catches its bearings. Oh

After graduating from USTHS in 1968, I took up Pre-Med at the UST College of
Science but only finished 2 years when I shifted to BSBA and got my degree in
1975. Worked for a while in Manila until we moved to the U.S.A. While there I
had the opportunity to take up a medical profession again and earned an
associate degree in Nursing. My nursing career lasted for several years until I
decided put up my own business of a caregiving agency which provided Caregivers
and Nursing Assistants to discharged patients from hospitals and in retirement
homes.
I have visited the Philippines several times since then and met some of our
classmates/batchmates at our very first Batch ’68 reunion in 2002 at Ricky
Yatco’s house. I am happy that we have come a long way from when we started with
just an eGroup with our frequent reunions and now we even have an excellent
website. I am the owner and moderator of our very own UST_HS_Batch68 egroup
since 2001.
Congratulations to all those who have contributed to our success as members of
the USTHS Class of ’68 with special thanks to Albert & Lorna Buenviaje, as well
as to Don Mejia, Bebet Gillera-Gozun, & Odette Ko-Wallace and a lot of others
